LinkedIn is Beginning to Crack Down on Low-Quality AI Content

To eliminate “AI slop” in LinkedIn, the company is reportedly decreasing the number of posts and comments created by AI that do not meet its standards. LinkedIn continues to urge people to use AI as a writing tool but notes that the writing must have human insight and a genuine perspective.

The fact that LinkedIn is also pushing its own AI capabilities to write posts, enhance profiles, and even apply for jobs, as it appears LinkedIn is drawing a line between “AI-assisted” and “AI-generated” content.

The underlying takeaway is that platforms can still incentivize originality and real expertise over content churned out by AI.
