Comfort or Growth What have you done?

What does it actually entail to be comfortable or grow?

It is choosing a safe, comfortable world over entering into the places that you do not feel comfortable with. Comfort is comfort and predictability and growth is learning, effort and uncertainty at times. They both end up with very different outcomes in the long-run and many do end up holding them in life.

Why are human beings comfortable?

safety is easy and less strenuous. Human beings prefer to be in a position where they feel secure and in control. Fear of failure, being rejected or not knowing what to do is another common factor that makes people remain in their comfort zones instead of taking risks.

What is the reward for spending too much time in our comfort zone?

Being comfortable over long durations may result in stagnation. You are not learning or getting better, you are not developing and are safe. This may eventually restrict you, and take away your chance of personal and professional development.

What is it that the growth ends even though it is not comfortable?

Growth will assist you to get new skills, feel confident and change. It can appear to be difficult, but it makes you prepared to do more and more challenges and opportunities. To be in pain is to be making progress and developing.

Do you choose to be risky with big, big?

Not necessarily. It is possible to grow in small increments. Growth can be in trying something new, teaching something, feedback, or something of a more challenging nature. It is a gradual change as compared to drastic changes.

What can be done to start to make more frequent decisions towards growth?

Begin by making conscious decisions. Being indecisive, ask yourself whether it is not because it is not easy but because it is not familiar. Do little things that you are not used to. These small steps stand up in the long-term to generate self-confidence and climbing to natural growth.

What is the primary teaching?

Short-term comfort will be good, but value will be accrued in the long term, through development. It is the passion to rebel and to educate themselves which will result in genuine development.

I think growth always starts with small, uncomfortable steps. Staying in the comfort zone feels safe, but real progress happens when we try something new. Even small efforts can make a big difference over time.
