What If We are Just NPCs in someone Else’s Video Game

Okay here me out. We spend hours playing video games,controlling charecters,completing missions and making choices. But have you ever wondered if someone out there is doing the exact same thing with us? What if this world is a simulation,someone above is the player and we are the NPCs running our daily routines our daily routines without even knowing it?

Think about it. Wake up, go to work, eat lunch, go home, repeat. That is basically an NPC loop. Some days we even say the same dialogue to the same people. “How are you? Good how about you? Same lines, every single day.

Now here comes the wild part. Some people believe we may not be the only ones out there. Look at the ancient Egyptian paitings and carvings. Some of them show strange figures, odd shaped heads and objects that look like they are flying. Ancient artists drew what they saw around them, so a lot of people ask the obvious question. what exactly were they looking at ? Historiens have their own explanations, but the mystery keeps people talking even today. Maybe visitors from somewhere else were already part of the story. Maybe the game has had other players all along.

Meanwhile video games have come a long way from simple pixels. Games like The last of Us, Red Dead Redemption and god of war make us laugh, cry and feel real emotions for fictional charecters. In a game you are not just watching the story, you are living it. Every decision shapes the ending. No other medium can match that, and that is why games deserve far more respect than they get.

Whether we are the players or the NPCs, one thing is certain. The idea is fascinating.
