The role of a Project Manager in the AI Era

Project management is evolving due to the emergence of artificial intelligence. Nowadays, project management systems may automatically schedule projects, produce reports, and anticipate potential risks. Therefore, the traditional task of Project Managers to organize the work of their employees and ensure timely implementation becomes less significant.

The main priority for Project Managers under new conditions becomes decision-making and strategic planning. The computer may analyze the available information and make suggestions, but the ultimate responsibility for taking correct decisions lies with the manager.

On the other hand, the human factor continues playing its role within the project. Coordinating the actions of all a participants and communicating with stakeholders require human skills.

In general, artificial intelligence cannot replace Project Managers. On the contrary, it helps them become more efficient and productive.
