Why The Persistence Beats Consistency?

We often hear the same advice: “To Be consistent”.

  • Be on time and show up every day
  • Never miss a deadline
  • Stay on track

Yes, consistency is important… but in the real life things don’t always work that way!

You can have the well-structured routine, the most disciplined habits, but then life brings unexpected twists:

  • A family member suddenly gets sick
  • Personal struggles bottles up
  • Your own energy level hits the rock bottom
  • Or perhaps you just burn-out for a while

At that moment, it does not feel possible to be consistent. That’s also where a lot of people beat themselves up thinking that they failed since they missed a day, week or even a month.

But here is the fact, it’s not Consistency, It’s Persistence, that’s what really matters!

Persistence does not mean that you never fall over, but you can fail, make errors, take breaks, drive out, and still come back.

  • Consistency is never skipping a step
  • Persistence is just not giving up the journey

Just think about it: who actually reaches their goals? Not those who were absolute perfect on each and every day, but those who refused to give up even after setbacks, mistakes or detours.

That’s what creates the real progress in the long term. Also, it instills confidence not only in you, but also those who look up to you!

There is no need to lock yourself in the 100% consistent mindset. That is a formula to make yourself guilt and burnout. Rather, be consistent, focus on to be persistent. Become the person who always finds a way back on track, no matter how tough the life gets.

Because in the long run, it’s your persistence that will keep you move forward to reach the finish line!
