Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for numbers? We are seeking a skilled Junior Accountant to join our growing team and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial activities of Prime One Global and its branches, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with local regulations, and safeguarding company assets. The role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll, and ensure correct entries in Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and ad-hoc reports, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and accounts, resolving discrepancies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop budgets and financial forecasts, monitor performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Audit and Internal Controls: Support audits, ensure compliance with financial policies, and recommend improvements.
  • Payroll Processing: Manage payroll, ensuring timely payments and accurate statutory deductions.
  • Client and Vendor Management: Handle invoicing, payments, and dispute resolutions with clients and vendors, negotiating payment terms as needed.
  • Documentation: Safeguard and manage both digital and physical financial documents, including secretarial documents.

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Preferred but not required) 
  • Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting. Previously worked in Audit firm, IT sector or service-based company is preferred.  
  • Professional Certifications: Fully or partly qualified CA, AAT, ACCA, CIMA or CMA (preferred). 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheets. 
  • Other Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. 
  • High ethical standards and integrity in financial management.
