Essential Font Selection Hacks for a Professional and User-Friendly Web Design

Hi Team! 👋

Today, I understand some new things, so I just had to share some quick font selection hacks that I feel will help us design the web look in a clean and professional way. ✨

Here’s what to keep in mind:

  1. Seek Sans-Serif Fonts for an Updated Kettle: 🛠️ Roboto, Arial, and Helvetica are excellent samples of fonts that can be used on any clean and minimalist site. These are very attractive when viewed on screen as they give a contemporary touch.
  2. Serif Fonts for an Old School Attractive Professional: 📚 For those who would like it the old or classy way, use Times New Roman, Georgia, Merriweather for instance. Such fonts add a dignified and vintage feel.
  3. Limit to Two Fonts: ✌️ For the purpose of coherence, have two fonts—an extreme one for headings and an ordinary one for body text. An example is good where Montserrat is used for headings and Open Sans is used for the body text.
  4. Readability should come first: 👀 Choose fonts for all devices that are still clear everywhere. Body text should not be less than 16px font size to help the users read well.
  5. Don’t Forget about Performance: ⚡ Use woff fonts from Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts for faster loading across browsers.

Let’s make sure we select the best fonts for a great user experience! 💡 Feel free to share your thoughts or suggestions below! 👇
