How fast our brains can understand screen messages?
I found an interesting study about how fast our brains can understand screen messages. Researchers from New York University found that when we see short sentences, our brains figure them out super quickly (As fast as blinking). This means that even though we get lots of quick messages, like notifications, our brains can still keep up and understand them fast.
It’s very cool how our brains work! We can process short sentences and even fix small mistakes without even thinking about them.
What do you think?
- Do you find quick messages on your phone or computer easy to understand?
- Have you noticed how you can still understand a sentence even if it’s missing a word? Like if you read “I ___ to the store,” you still know what it means.
Try reading a sentence with a word missing and see if you can still understand it. For example, “I ___ to the park”. Does your brain fill in the word automatically? What’s that?
